Yuki Okajima is a Japan-born artist, martial arts practitioner, and teacher based in Bangalore, India. A 2024 World Champion of Okinawa Traditional Kobudo in the Sai category, Okajima brings 38 years of karate training and teaching to a practice shaped by discipline, creativity, and personal experience. Karate and kobudo are central to the portfolio, which also reflects a broad interest in literature, sound, craft, and philosophy.

Okajima’s work spans several creative and professional fields. As an actor, Okajima has experience in theatre, both on stage and backstage, and has studied Shakespeare, Chekhov, and Method acting in Japan and the United States. Writing includes drama, scripts, poetry, essays, and industry content. Japanese-English translation covers areas such as literature, philosophy, business, technology, and medical and legal materials. With 20 years of sound experience, Okajima provides sound design, engineering, and operations for theatre, concerts, and events, and crafts custom-made speakers. Okajima also trains and teaches martial arts in Bangalore.
