Cambridge University Rugby Union Football Club

Cambridge University Rugby Union Football Club (CURUFC) is an amateur but professionally run student rugby club representing the prestigious University of Cambridge. The club consists of both men's and women's teams, including the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd teams. The 1st teams have a strong fixture list, playing against top professional clubs and universities.

All teams receive coaching, strength and conditioning guidance, and medical support from well-qualified staff. CURUFC also has a rich tradition of touring, with recent trips to South Africa, Scotland, and the USA. In addition, CURUFC organizes a structured league system for 15 college teams, with regular promotion and relegation.

There is also a knockout Cuppers tournament held at Grange Road in April/May. The ultimate goal for every rugby player at Cambridge is to compete in a 'Varsity' match. Over 100 players had the honor of playing against their arch-rivals in five Varsity matches during the 2021-22 season.

The pinnacle of the Varsity series is the first teams' match at Twickenham. CURUFC is thankful for the support of various sponsors, including Steele Bodger, who sponsors the women's team and the match. They also have a security partner, an annual club dinner sponsor, a scoreboard sponsor, and media partners.

With a strong focus on excellence and a dedication to the game, CURUFC is a thriving rugby club within the Cambridge community
