Custom Crafted Vans is a Boise, Idaho-based company specializing in luxury, custom-built van conversions for clients nationwide. Founded by Sara and Alex James, the business has crafted vans since 2017, combining their construction and design experience with RV Technical Institute certification. Rather than offering prefab packages, the team designs and builds each conversion to suit the customer’s needs, style, and travel plans, using premium materials and careful workmanship.
The company intentionally completes only five to six handbuilt vans each year, allowing its small team to focus on quality and hands-on service. Customers work directly with Sara and Alex throughout the design and build process, with consultations, progress updates, and guidance from their experience. Custom Crafted Vans offers popular layouts including the Beach House, Family Van 2.0, Mini Beach House, and Family Van, as well as tailored designs for different Sprinter sizes and travel needs. Its conversions are created as comfortable, functional living spaces, with attention to finishes and practical details.
