CUSTOM EQUINE

Custom Equine creates bespoke saddle blankets and saddles rooted in traditional textile craft and designed for horse and rider. Its woven blankets are made by women artisans in Teotitlán del Valle, Mexico, where master weavers use ancestral techniques and natural dyes derived from materials such as indigo, marigold, pomegranate skins, tree moss, and cochineal. The designs honor Zapotec heritage and are developed through collaboration with local weaving families.

Founded around the work of designer Molly Rodgers, Custom Equine combines more than 20 years of experience in custom clothing and woven textile design with her background as a saddle fitter and seamstress. Each blanket is hand-finished in California, with 100% wool felt or fleece and an ergonomic wither contour intended to support saddle fit, equine comfort, and lasting performance. The brand offers a range of woven blanket designs, including Solana, Eyes of God, and Galente, alongside custom options and saddles. Based in Sonoma County, California, Custom Equine also shares its story and product updates through its website and newsletter.
