Paraplu Studio

Paraplu Studio is a custom furniture and woodworking studio creating digital designs and handmade pieces for homes and businesses. Its work combines sustainably sourced wood, thoughtful design, and traditional joinery to produce furniture that is both functional and built to last. The studio collaborates with clients through a design-to-build process, planning each project around the space, practical needs, and preferred aesthetic.

Its portfolio includes bespoke tables, nightstands, bookcases, cabinetry, shelving, plant propagation displays, bar and espresso fixtures, record storage, mirrors, frames, and specialized pieces such as piano seating and an heirloom picnic box. Projects feature details including hand-cut dovetails, inlays, mortise-and-tenon joints, shaped edges, and custom hardware. Paraplu Studio also considers accessibility and how furniture may serve clients as their needs change.

Based in Pittsburgh, the studio has created work for residential settings and local businesses, including breweries and coffee shops. Client feedback highlights the quality of its craftsmanship, collaborative service, careful attention to detail, and ability to tailor designs to existing spaces.
