Cutting Edge Fencing

Cutting Edge Fencing is a Kingston, Ontario, fencing club established in 2003 and operating as a community program of the Royal Military College of Canada Fencing Program. It welcomes participants of all ages and experience levels, from Mini-Musketeers and youth and adult beginners to advanced competitive athletes. Programs support those learning the sport as well as fencers seeking to develop their existing skills, with opportunities to compete from the provincial level to international events.

Training takes place in the Royal Military College’s renovated Old Gym, a full-time fencing facility equipped with 14 pistes, a strength and conditioning area, video replay systems and modern training equipment. The club’s coaching team includes certified fencing masters and assistant instructors, led by Patricia Howes and David Howes. Cutting Edge emphasizes high-quality coaching in a safe, friendly and enjoyable environment. Designated a Regional Community Development Centre by the Ontario Fencing Association, it also provides school outreach programs at its facility or at schools.
