Cvam

Cheddar Valley Advanced Motorcyclists (CVAM) is a local motorcycle training group and an official provider of the IAM RoadSmart Advanced Rider programme. With more than 100 members from the Cheddar Valley and surrounding areas, CVAM helps riders develop safer, more confident skills and make steady progress on the road. Its training is suitable for people returning to motorcycling after a break as well as those looking to improve their riding. Members have passed the Advanced Bike test, while associate members receive one-to-one coaching as they work towards it. CVAM also offers associate theory days and member training days to support continued learning.

Beyond formal training, CVAM provides regular opportunities to ride and socialise. A group rideout takes place on the first Sunday of each month, with routes reaching Devon, Dorset, the Cotswolds and Wales. Monthly social evenings often feature guest speakers, and partners and pillions are welcome at both rides and social events.
