The Cercle de Voile des Boucles de Seine (CVBS) is a nonprofit sailing association based at Montesson’s 54 quai George Sand, where it has been located since 1943. Founded in Rueil-Malmaison in 1933, the club welcomes adults, whether beginners or experienced sailors, to enjoy recreational sailing on the Seine without pressure to compete. Members who are interested in racing can take part in around 20 regattas organized each year, mainly on Saturday afternoons and sometimes on Sundays.
These events include inter-series races for sport keelboats, sailed in Vent d’Ouest and Flying Fifteen boats. The club also features other vessels, including Moth Europe boats and traditional craft, and shares its sailing heritage through events and club activities. When sailing conditions are unsuitable, members can go paddleboarding.
CVBS publishes sailing news, event calendars, race results, and navigation conditions, and offers a community for people from Montesson and nearby Seine-side towns to get involved in sailing and club life
