CV de Zandhazen is a carnival association based in Boerdonk, Netherlands, where it helps bring the village together for a lively annual carnival season. Known locally as the Zandhazenrijk, Boerdonk celebrates with several days of festivities, while the association remains active throughout the year with news, gatherings and preparations for upcoming events.
The association’s programme includes carnival celebrations, an annual calendar of activities and the announcement of the adult prince and adjudant, as well as a youth carnival couple. Its youth council plays an important role in keeping carnival traditions alive for younger residents. The Beppers, a regular group within the association, can be seen at parades, carnival balls and BZA evenings.
BZA evenings are a popular local attraction, featuring cabaret performers, sketches and music created in the village; the events sell out each year. Through its activities, entertainment and opportunities for residents of different ages to participate, CV de Zandhazen supports Boerdonk’s community spirit and celebrates the village’s carnival culture.
