The Climate Vulnerable Forum (CVF) is a pivotal international partnership representing 68 countries highly susceptible to the impacts of climate change, encompassing regions from Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, Latin America, and the Pacific. Formed in 2009, CVF serves as a collaborative platform for these nations to unite and champion “development-positive climate action,” focusing on simultaneous development and climate resilience. The Forum emphasizes empowering its members, who collectively represent 1.4 billion people, to achieve sustainable development goals while tackling climate challenges.

Notably, the CVF launched the V20 Finance Ministers group, dedicated to facilitating climate finance and investments that promote climate prosperity. Through initiatives like the Climate Vulnerable Economies Loss Report and Climate Prosperity Plans, the CVF advocates for innovative financial solutions and mobilizes resources necessary for economic recovery and resilience against climate risks. The establishment of an independent Secretariat and the hosting of regional offices further enhance the CVF's capacity to drive meaningful change in global climate policy and action.
