Chenab Valley Power Projects Limited (CVPPL) is a joint venture established in 2011 by NHPC Limited, a Government of India enterprise, and Jammu and Kashmir State Power Development Corporation Limited (JKSPDC), a Government of Jammu and Kashmir enterprise. Formed at the initiative of the two governments, the company works to develop the hydroelectric potential of the Chenab River basin in Kishtwar, Jammu and Kashmir. Its principal projects include the Pakal Dul, Kiru and Kwar hydroelectric projects, which the company is responsible for executing and operating under a Build, Own, Operate and Maintain model.
