CVSS Jamaica is a reputable brand that has been serving the social development needs of Jamaica since its establishment in 1940. As the longest-serving and largest umbrella NGO in the country, CVSS brings together voluntary social service organizations to facilitate mutual support and joint action. One of their main goals is to build the capacity of their members and the wider community, fostering sustainable alliances.

CVSS offers a range of programs and services to fulfill their mission. They focus on membership education and sensitization, human resource development and training, advocacy for disadvantaged and vulnerable groups, liaising with the government on social sector matters, inter-agency collaboration, volunteer recognition, and providing services to their members such as pension and health schemes.

Throughout their history, CVSS has achieved numerous milestones and established impactful initiatives. This includes spearheading the PSOJ COVID-19 Jamaica Response Fund, opening the National Volunteer Centre, offering training programs for NGOs, establishing the National Registry of Volunteers, and forming important partnerships such as the Jamaica Coalition on the Rights of the Child and United Way of Jamaica.

With over 80 years of service, CVSS Jamaica continues to make a significant impact on social welfare and community development in Jamaica.
