The College Women's Association of Japan (CWAJ) is a remarkable non-profit volunteer organization established in 1949. Comprised of both Japanese and non-Japanese women who share common interests and goals, CWAJ focuses primarily on providing scholarships. With members representing 25 nations, the organization operates through a unique Co-Chair system that pairs Japanese and non-Japanese women to lead each working committee.

This system fosters friendships and a sense of fulfillment while working toward a shared objective. CWAJ's mission is to promote education and cultivate multicultural friendships. They provide rewarding volunteer and leadership opportunities, offer stimulating educational programs, and organize enjoyable intercultural activities.

In addition to their scholarship initiatives, CWAJ hosts the annual CWAJ Print Show, showcasing contemporary Japanese print art. Over the past 70 years, more than 800 women from 35 countries have received CWAJ scholarships, empowering them to pursue studies abroad. Through their cultural programs, general meetings, and special interest groups, members can engage in a wide range of activities and develop lasting friendships.
