About CWLA
The Catholic Women's League Australia Inc. With a mission to build a culture of life, this league emphasizes the respect for human rights and the teachings of Christ concerning human dignity, integrity, and freedom. The organization comprises six distinct member groups across Australia, each boasting a unique history and purpose while united in their commitment to prayer and action.
The League actively addresses bioethical issues, social concerns, and advocates for women’s rights on both national and international platforms, including the World Union of Catholic Women’s Organisations (WUCWO). Members engage in various initiatives such as newsletters, research notes, and case studies to deepen their understanding and contribute effectively to discussions on important social issues. The Catholic Women’s League invites interested women to join their mission of faith, community service, and advocacy, transforming lives through meaningful involvement.
