Canton Youth Athletics Basketball (CYAB) is dedicated to fostering youth sports in the Canton area by offering competitive basketball opportunities for boys and girls in grades 5-8. Established to enhance the athletic experience, CYAB teams participate in the North Central Connecticut Travel League (NCC) since its inception in 1995, along with various local tournaments. The organization aims to prepare young athletes for future high school competition, providing a structured environment where they can develop their skills and teamwork.
Teams practice twice a week for 90 minutes and engage in games on weekends, with travel expected to neighboring towns like Granby, East Granby, and South Windsor. Though gym availability may vary due to community events and usage by local schools, CYAB is committed to providing a consistent and enriching experience for its players. The organization thrives on a community spirit, inviting sponsorships and donations to support its mission. Join CYAB to be part of a vibrant and active youth basketball program!
