Cyber Detective is an online resource dedicated to open-source intelligence (OSINT), sharing tools, techniques, and practical learning materials for people interested in investigating publicly available information. The site brings together curated directories, guides, cheat sheets, and browser-based utilities designed to support research and cybersecurity work.

Its main projects include a worldwide OSINT tools map covering resources such as phonebooks, cadastral maps, vehicle-number databases, business registries, passenger lists, and court records. Cyber Detective also offers free, 21-day introductory courses in Linux for OSINT and Python for OSINT, along with the Netlas Cookbook, a guide to using Netlas.io for cybersecurity research. Other collections include more than 1,000 OSINT services, search-engine dork resources, and APIs for automating investigative tasks.

The site’s online tools help users search web archives, caches, paste sites, webcam directories, source-code hosting services, and map locations. Cyber Detective also shares OSINT updates and resources through Substack, Twitter, Telegram, GitHub, Medium, Mastodon, and BlueSky.
