About Cyber Civil Rights Initiative
The Cyber Civil Rights Initiative (CCRI) is dedicated to combating online abuses that threaten civil rights and civil liberties. Founded by Dr. Holly Jacobs, CCRI envisions a world where law, policy, and technology work harmoniously to protect the rights and liberties of individuals. The organization operates through five key programmatic areas: victim and survivor services, tech policy, legislative reform, research, and outreach. CCRI offers a comprehensive Safety Center and a dedicated helpline to assist victims of image-based sexual abuse.
Additionally, CCRI actively participates in legislative reform efforts and legal advocacy through amicus briefs, ensuring that the voices of victims are heard in the legal system. They also provide educational resources to help individuals minimize risks associated with technology-facilitated abuse. Emphasizing an inclusive approach, CCRI seeks to foster community support while promoting awareness around the critical issues of online sexual abuse. Through donations and engagement, CCRI invites the public to join their mission to ensure safety and justice for all.
