About Cyland MediaArt Lab
CYLAND is a dynamic nonprofit organization established in 2007 by a collective of independent artists and curators focused on the intersection of art and high technology. Based in Eastern Europe, CYLAND fosters rich connections among artists, curators, engineers, and programmers worldwide, promoting innovative artistic expressions. The cornerstone of CYLAND's activities is CYFEST, one of the region's largest international media art festivals, dedicated to interdisciplinary collaboration and the exploration of new visual and technological languages.
Furthermore, CYLAND offers a variety of platforms, including the Made in CYLAND online catalog, which showcases media artworks created over the past 15 years, and a comprehensive Video Archive featuring over 600 video works from more than 100 international artists. The organization also hosts the Audio Archive, curating sound art from diverse global talents. Additionally, CYLAND organizes exhibitions and provides a space for informal discussions through the LASER Talks program, further enriching the dialogue between art and science
