Czerwiec ’76

Fundacja Czerwiec ’76 im. Stanisława Kowalskiego is a Radom-based foundation dedicated to preserving the memory of the Radom protests of June 1976 and sharing their significance with future generations. Named after participant and activist Stanisław Kowalski, the organization connects local history with education, sport and public engagement, with a particular focus on young people.

Its activities include school programs, exhibitions, historical documentation, murals and sporting events. The flagship program, “Proud of History, Free from Hate,” uses the history of June 1976 to encourage discussion about respect, exclusion, online abuse and responsible communication. The foundation also develops the “Sport Remembers” initiative, bringing history into tournaments and school events, and “Find a Hero,” which invites young people to record the memories of eyewitnesses. Its projects include a mural honoring priest Roman Kotlarz and traveling exhibitions about June 1976, martial law and the Workers’ Defence Committee. The foundation works with schools, institutions and partners, and welcomes donations to support its educational, sporting and commemorative work.
