Centrum Zdrowia Psychicznego Al-Med Wodzisław Śląski

AL-MED is a mental health and addiction treatment center based in Wodzisław Śląski, Poland. It provides comprehensive support for adults, combining medical care, psychological services and psychotherapy in an environment designed to be safe, respectful and responsive to patients’ needs. Care is available individually and in groups, with social workers, vocational advisers, recovery assistants and community therapists also contributing support.

Services include an outpatient mental health clinic, a first-contact coordination point, a day psychiatric unit and community-based care for patients who cannot attend a facility. The center also treats behavioral and substance-related addictions and supports families, including adult children of people with addiction. Its addiction programs offer individual and group therapy, psychiatric care, support groups, psychoeducation and daytime treatment. AL-MED develops an individual care plan following an initial assessment, and remote appointments may be available, although in-person contact is preferred. Services are provided without charge under an agreement with Poland’s National Health Fund. Patients can contact the center directly, without a referral; a referral is required for the day unit.
