The Dictionary of African Christian Biography (DACB) is a comprehensive and accessible online resource dedicated to documenting the history of Christianity in Africa over the past 2000 years. This collaborative project aims to fill the gaps in historical knowledge by providing biographical accounts of key African figures who have influenced African Christianity. From clergy and laypeople to Africans and expatriates, the DACB covers the full spectrum of individuals who identify as Christian across the continent.
The website features a collection of scholarly articles, oral history interviews, and reprinted biographies, ensuring a diverse range of perspectives. Institutions and individuals from Africa and beyond contribute to the DACB, making it a truly global effort. The completed biographies follow strict formatting and bibliography standards and can be freely reprinted with attribution.
