Dagsenteret

Stiftelsen Dagsenteret for fysisk funksjonshemmede i Bergen is a social and activity centre for people with physical disabilities. The foundation aims to foster wellbeing, participation and community, offering opportunities to challenge the mind, hands and body. Users help shape the centre’s activities, and the organisation seeks to make participation accessible to everyone. The centre is open Monday through Thursday, and membership carries an annual fee of NOK 300.

Its programme includes hobby activities, supported by an on-site ceramics workshop, as well as user meetings, trips, seasonal celebrations, themed days and visits to cultural events such as theatre, cinema and concerts. The centre also holds a Christmas market and sells products made through its activities. For people unable to travel independently, transport is offered through Tide Buss AS, with a user contribution. Lunch brings people together over food and company; tea, coffee and rolls are available for purchase, along with home baking and other treats at intervals. Visitors may also bring their own lunch.
