Dakota Fell

Dakota Fell is a North American breeder of registered Fell Ponies, a rare heritage draft breed originating in England. The farm focuses on thoughtfully raising ponies for suitable, lasting partnerships, prioritizing the right home for each animal. Fell Ponies are known for their intelligence, versatility, and sturdy build, typically standing 13.2 to 14 hands and maturing at around 1,000 pounds. Registered ponies come in black, brown, bay, or grey, and are recognized for their long manes and tails and feathered legs.

Dakota Fell raises its herd in pastures, allowing ponies to develop within a natural herd environment. They receive daily, respectful handling and age-appropriate training from birth. The breeder specializes in youngstock, introducing foundational groundwork while delaying backing until age four. Dakota Fell offers ponies for sale and shares information about its herd, including foundation ponies, stallions, mares, and future breeding contributors. Its breeding program combines stock raised in North America with ponies imported from England, with attention to pedigree diversity and traditional Fell Pony type.
