About DAMA organization
DAMA, short for Doctors Aid for Medical Activities, is a non-profit and non-governmental organization based in Iraq. Established in 2016 during the conflict with ISIS, DAMA aims to provide high-quality medical care to individuals in need while also spreading awareness about healthy living and disease prevention. Their mission is to support the Ministry of Health and other health stakeholders in restoring and developing the health system in Iraq.
They strive to provide quality health services to all Iraqi citizens, including refugees, through capacity building and community empowerment. In times of crisis requiring healthcare support, DAMA commits to responding and providing relief activities in coordination with the Ministry of Health. With core values of respect, quality, accountability, support, and reliability, DAMA ensures their actions align with medical ethics.
