DAMA Ecuador is the representative for DAMA International (Data Management Association) in Ecuador. As a non-profit organization, DAMA Ecuador is dedicated to the development and implementation of procedures, practices, policies, and architecture to effectively manage the complete lifecycle of data in a company. With operations beginning in November 2019, DAMA Ecuador is part of DAMA International, founded in the US in 1980, which currently has 40 chapters in over 16 countries worldwide.

DAMA Ecuador offers various products and services to professionals interested in data management. They invite individuals to participate in the Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) preparation course, which is an international certification granted by DAMA. Additionally, they provide study groups for the Data Management Body of Knowledge (DMBoK), aimed at academics, entrepreneurs, researchers, and professionals who want to explore the different topics covered in the DMBoK book.

By becoming a member of DAMA Ecuador, individuals gain access to a virtual community of data management professionals, content in Spanish related to best data management practices, internship programs, and exclusive discounted events organized by DAMA Ecuador.
