Damian Mathew

Damian Mathew is a creative entrepreneur working at the intersection of real-time 3D, game development, machine learning, and business. He is the founder of oio.app and Balloonhead, and has created real-time 3D work for automotive brands including Audi, Bugatti, BMW, MAN, and Byton. His experience includes early-stage metaverse development, machine-learning development since 2016, and collaboration with the Unreal Engine team. He also helped build the Unity HDRP render pipeline.

With more than 15 years of experience in 3D and real-time technology, Mathew works on graphics and rendering systems, including development involving NVIDIA DLSS and denoising. His background combines technical practice with education: he studied Computer Science through Harvard’s CS50 program and Business Administration at Berlin University of Applied Sciences, lectured in Game Design at HMKW University Berlin, and has led 3D workshops for children. A Blender Development Fund Titanium member, he shares his work and expertise with an audience across YouTube and Instagram. The site also highlights more than $1 million in revenue earned as an independent creator.
