About DANC Lab
The Decision, Action, and Neural Computation (DANC) Lab is a neuroscience research group at the Institut des Sciences Cognitives, Marc Jeannerod, CNRS, in Bron, France. It investigates how the brain selects and prepares actions, and how sensory feedback and action outcomes shape internal models that guide future movement. The lab’s work spans motor control, decision-making, learning, and neural computation, with projects examining motor-cortex beta bursts, high-precision magnetoencephalography (MEG) methods for laminar analysis, non-invasive brain–computer interfaces for motor rehabilitation, and neural signatures of long-term sensorimotor learning.
DANC Lab combines experiments, data simulation, and computational neural modeling, choosing methods to suit each research question. Its toolkit includes MEG and EEG, neurophysiology, MRI and diffusion tensor imaging, non-invasive brain stimulation, and behavioral measurements of movement. The team includes researchers, postdoctoral fellows, doctoral students, and technical and research staff.
Alongside its research projects, the lab shares scientific publications and related resources, including code and project information, supporting broader understanding of how neural activity enables and adapts action
