Dunstan Christopher Experience Designer + Creative Technologist + Worldbuilder Too often immersive experiences—and digital technologies generally—are designed for escaping reality. Or conversely, to reproduce reality in digital space: information delivered with visual novelty but little emotional substance. As a designer I'm interested in how immersive technology can shape inner experience—interventions that deepen a sense of presence to connect us more deeply to emotions, memories, desires, and the human beings in our midst.

Dunstan Christopher is an experience designer, creative technologist, and worldbuilder whose practice explores how immersive media can deepen people’s connection to emotions, memories, desires, and one another. Rather than using technology simply to escape reality or reproduce it, he creates experiences intended to encourage presence and reflection. His work spans augmented and mixed reality, virtual reality, motion graphics, creative coding, artificial intelligence, photogrammetry, physical computing, volumetric capture, and experimental media.
Ongoing project MOMEX explores a speculative interface for storing, replaying, and sharing memories as crafted 3D augmented-reality experiences. Its prototypes include a matcha ritual, a return to a location associated with a lost dog, and a meditation about ending a relationship. City Strata uses augmented reality to renew attention to familiar urban surfaces, including plaques, murals, and monuments, in Los Angeles and Detroit. Christopher also investigates lenticular video, layering footage to create dimensionality in standard 2D viewing without specialized hardware.
His portfolio reflects experience in design, communications strategy, and client work, alongside expertise in digital tools and interactive media.
