Danhamp

Hestehamp ApS is a Danish hemp company focused primarily on hemp bedding for horses. In 2020, it took over the activities of Danhamp, which had worked with industrial hemp in Denmark since 2006. The company has supplied hemp bedding since 2007, importing first-quality material from hemp factories in the European Union. Its website provides information on using the bedding, horse-keeping options and costs, and offers ordering and enquiries by phone or email.

Beyond its core product, Hestehamp has explored different uses of industrial hemp, including fibre trials, hempcrete, hemp-fibre panels, plastics, hemp seeds and cultivation for CBD production. It has also supplied hemp for projects, school and university assignments, and television productions. In 2023, the company made its first substantial delivery for house construction using hempcrete.

Hestehamp presents hemp as a fast-growing crop that can absorb and store carbon, and notes that its cultivation does not require chemicals. The company reports reaching its 2,000th customer in 2026 and says it continues to grow.
