Daniela Roth

Daniela Roth is a German art historian and sociologist whose work focuses on African countries, their societies, and contemporary art. Drawing on frequent travel across the continent, she brings an intercultural perspective to questions of migration, identity, and social change. Her research examines migration from Africa to Europe as well as movement within Africa, including the hopes and expectations people associate with emigration and the images of Europe held by Africans.
