Dan Jurgens is a comic-book writer, artist, and creator whose work brings some of the industry’s best-known characters to life. Across a career spanning DC Comics, Marvel Comics, and book publishing, he has written and drawn stories for major properties while creating characters that have become enduring parts of their fictional universes and reached other media. His DC work includes The Warlord, Booster Gold, Flash Gordon, Green Arrow, Justice League of America, and a decade-long run on Superman.
That run included the bestselling “Death of Superman,” for which he received the National Cartoonists Society Award for Best in Comic Book Division. He also worked on “Zero Hour,” a crossover that redefined the DC Universe. At Marvel, Jurgens launched The Sensational Spider-Man and spent seven years writing The Mighty Thor, as well as writing and drawing Captain America.
