Denmarks Veterans

Danmarks Veteraner and Veteranstøtten form a nationwide community supporting Danish veterans and their families. Danmarks Veteraner is a membership association with local groups and affiliated communities, while Veteranstøtten is part of the association and offers activities that veterans can join without becoming members. Together, they work to strengthen veteran connections, promote recognition of former service personnel, and draw attention to veterans’ circumstances after international missions.

Their programs include commemorative parades and anniversary gatherings, family events, outdoor trips, sports activities, and courses such as bushcraft. Events range from walks and shelter trips to excursions in Denmark and abroad. The organizations also provide support to vulnerable veterans and relatives, including a 24-hour helpline through Veteranrådgivningen. Members can take part in local groups with interests such as hunting, motorcycling, sailing, running, and women veterans’ activities. Danmarks Veteraner collaborates with relevant organizations on veteran policy and recognition, and both organizations receive donations and ongoing support to help fund their work. Their website provides news, event information, membership details, support resources, publications, and contact information.
