DanzaMedicina

DanzaMedicina is an experimental, women-centered project that brings together somatic research, body arts, clinical practice, ritual, political awareness, and creative imagination. Having traveled to 15 countries and reached more than 5,000 women, it creates spaces for participants to explore embodied experience, reconnect with their bodies, and question restrictive social norms through movement and collective practice. Its approach draws on feminism, psychomagic, and forms of radical expression, treating dance as a way to engage with memory, emotion, desire, and creativity.

The project offers training programs, immersive labs, workshops, events, collective mentorship, study groups, and sound experiences, alongside opportunities for partnerships and collaboration. Its agenda includes programs in Costa Rica and Bahia, Brazil, as well as a 2027 training journey. DanzaMedicina also shares its ideas through books by Morena Cardoso, including A Menina que virou Lua, about ancestral perspectives on menarche, and Manifesto Crisálida, an autobiographical work on transformation and challenging expectations placed on women.
