DAO Zentrum Berlin is a school led by Martin Neumann, offering instruction in Ma Tsun Kuen Tai Chi Chuan, Daoist Qi Gong and meditation. Based in Alt-Treptow, Berlin, the school introduces students to the Ma Tsun Kuen style, which it describes as Tai Chi Chuan in its original form. Its approach explores the effectiveness of elastic relaxation, cultivated through a calm and open heart, in both health practice and martial arts.
The school provides regular courses, workshops and a structured curriculum in Tai Chi Chuan and Qi Gong, with information on progress and graduations. Its programme also includes Tui Shou, or pushing-hands practice, and Tai Chi dialogue. Workshops take place in Berlin and other locations, with topics such as stepping in Tui Shou and additional training in Tsao. The website provides course schedules, details about locations and costs, and resources including articles, photos, films and a Chinese-language library. Visitors can contact the school to ask about classes, arrange a trial lesson or learn about a preventive health course.
