Dark Chronicle is an independent fan archive dedicated to the Legacy of Kain video game series. Established in 2002, the site serves as a reference for the series’ layered storyline, helping longtime fans revisit its details and making the narrative more approachable to newcomers. Its central feature is the Encyclopaedia Nosgothica, an A-to-Z collection of detailed entries on characters, locations, creatures, events, and other elements from the games.

Visitors can also explore game-by-game sections covering stories, characters, settings, weapons, spells, abilities, and other game-specific material across titles including Blood Omen, Soul Reaver, Soul Reaver 2, Blood Omen 2, and Defiance. The archive additionally provides maps, timelines, dialogue, promotional materials, cheat codes, and links to official resources and fan websites. Interactive features include quizzes about several games and an identity generator.

Alongside its reference content, Dark Chronicle shares news and information for the Legacy of Kain fan community, including updates about the multiplayer game Nosgoth. It is an informational fan resource, not an official game publisher or developer
