Darksoil Studio is a brand that focuses on creating innovative and user-friendly apps for place-based groups to meet their non-digital needs. Our small and fully distributed apps harness the power of Holochain, enabling groups to access emergent properties for organizing, collaborating, and connecting. With our open source software, we aim to increase the accessibility and functionality of the Holochain core codebase.
Some of the tools we've developed include the Holochain Playground, a suite of tools that allows developers and architects to simulate, introspect, and play around with Holochain. We also have Fixie, a fully distributed issue tracker that simplifies debugging for developers building Holochain Apps. Additionally, our software includes Gather, which facilitates co-creating, accessing, and managing emergent events for groups.
At Darksoil Studio, we take an approach that makes it simple for existing groups to create self-sovereign digital spaces that are owned and evolvable by the group itself. We test our software with our own communities and partner with others to adapt it to their specific needs.
