Darmstaedter Jaeger

Darmstädter Jäger e.V. is a hunting association founded in 2014 to bring together people interested in hunting and nature, and to represent their interests locally and through the Landesjagdverband Hessen. The club welcomes new members and encourages them to contribute ideas and take part in an active community that brings together different generations of hunters.

Its work combines wildlife and habitat protection with the preservation of hunting traditions. Members support hunting-dog activities, hunting-horn playing, shooting practice and training, and the association cooperates with a hunting school to help prepare aspiring hunters. It also offers further education and practical courses, including instruction in trapping and chainsaw use, as well as high-seat construction. The club’s volunteer drone team uses thermal-imaging equipment to help locate fawns in fields and conduct flights for African swine fever prevention. Beyond its member activities, Darmstädter Jäger provides school and kindergarten visits, often paired with walks in fields and forests, to introduce children to wildlife and nature. Its public outreach also shares the ethical principles of responsible hunting.
