Dart Aviation

Dart Aviation Ltd provides flight training and aviation services across New Zealand, with a focus on instrument rating renewals and IFR and VFR operational competency assessments. The business serves pilots in Christchurch and Wellington and can travel nationwide to support training and examining needs.

Dart Aviation is led by Dan, an Airline Training Captain with extensive general aviation experience and a specialisation in instrument training and examining. He holds a New Zealand Airline Transport Pilots Licence, Part 125 and Part 135 Airline Flight Examiner ratings, and a current ‘B’ Category instructor rating. With more than 11,500 flying hours, he brings substantial experience to the company’s services.

Training can be arranged even when a pilot does not have access to an aircraft, as Dart Aviation has access to a range of aircraft in Wellington and Paraparaumu. The business operates under the certificate of Flight Test New Zealand, a certified Part 141 organisation. Operated by Steve Kingsbury, Flight Test New Zealand also offers additional aviation services through its own organisation.
