Darwin Runners

Darwin Runners & Walkers Inc. is a running and walking club that welcomes people to take part in group runs, races and club activities around Darwin. Its regular Wednesday runs follow seasonal schedules, starting at 6:00 pm during the dry season and 6:15 pm during the wet season. Participants can choose how far to run, and the club provides free water; soft drinks are available to buy from a trailer. Members also meet for Saturday morning runs, departing at 6:00 am from outside Parap Bakery. These runs are generally 10–13 kilometres, though participants can run a distance that suits them.

The club organises events including a 10-kilometre road championship and a half marathon, with relay team options for the latter. It publishes a club calendar, race results, event information, run maps and other resources. Online registration is available, with single, family and under-14 membership options and separate new-member and renewal fees. Members can also access an Intersport offer providing a 10% discount and a 5% rebate to the club.
