Datemi una cuccia

Datemi una cuccia is a volunteer-run animal shelter in Milan dedicated to helping abandoned, mistreated, and surrendered animals find safe, loving homes. The organization cares for cats and dogs through a network of foster carers, providing attention and rehabilitation when needed until each animal is ready for adoption. Its adoption process includes a conversation at the prospective adopter’s home, with guidance on preparing a safe environment and caring for the animal after placement. For cat adoptions, the shelter asks families to secure windows and balconies, arrange sterilization at the appropriate age, and stay in touch with occasional updates and photos.

Beyond rehoming animals, Datemi una cuccia raises support through periodic markets featuring pet-themed gifts, toys, and accessories, and organizes social aperitifs focused on life with pets, health, nutrition, and safety in the city. It also holds school events to teach children how to approach and care for cats. Through these services and activities, the organization supports animals while helping people build informed, lasting relationships with their new companions.
