Daughters for Life Foundation is an organization established in memory of Dr. Izzeldin Abuelaish's daughters, Bessan, Mayar, and Aya. The foundation's mission is to empower girls and young women in the Middle East through education.
They believe that lasting peace in the region depends on the education and empowerment of women. Daughters for Life provides scholarships and awards to aspiring young women, enabling them to pursue higher education opportunities that would otherwise be inaccessible to them. Scholarships are available to students in Palestine, Israel, Lebanon, Jordan, and Syria, as well as for graduate and undergraduate studies in North America and Europe.
The foundation supports young women of any Middle Eastern nationality, irrespective of their religious affiliation or background. Dr. Izzeldin Abuelaish, internationally recognized as a human rights and peace activist, founded the organization.
Despite personal hardships, he remains committed to advancing health and educational opportunities for women and girls in the Middle East. With a focus on promoting open communication and understanding, Daughters for Life strives to create positive change and empower the next generation of female leaders in the region
