The Düren Section of the German Alpine Club (Deutscher Alpenverein, DAV) is a local outdoor and mountaineering association based in Düren, Germany. It welcomes members and guests to take part in organised activities, with walking groups forming a prominent part of its programme. These groups offer tours of varying lengths and schedules, from nearby weekday walks to Sunday outings farther afield.
The Sunday group meets around 30 times a year for day hikes of approximately 9 to 22 kilometres, exploring areas including the Eifel, the Belgian Ardennes and the Maas-Schwalm-Nette nature park. Participants generally bring their own food, and shared transport is arranged from Düren. The section also lists youth climbing, cycling and other walking groups, as well as a super-senior group and multi-day trips.
Members can rent outdoor equipment and use the Dürener Hütte, though the website notes that the hut is closed for building-law reasons. The section offers online membership applications and holds activities and gatherings at its Düren section house
