DAV Tölz is the Bad Tölz section of the German Alpine Club, bringing people together to enjoy and learn about mountain sports. Its programme includes guided hikes, mountaineering, ski touring, mountain biking, climbing and family activities, with courses and tours for a range of experience levels. Climbing instruction covers indoor and outdoor skills, including introductory courses, top-rope and lead climbing, technique training and bouldering.

Courses are available for adults, women, older participants and children aged 10 and over. The section also operates the Tölzer Hütte, sharing information about access, routes and facilities, and offers a webcam and virtual tour. Members and visitors can find a gear rental service, a library, vouchers and a members’ portal, as well as information about the section’s events and services.

DAV Tölz promotes climate and nature protection, supports mountain paths and encourages public transport, including through its mountain bus. It also provides opportunities to join the association, take part in community activities and learn from qualified instructors
