Davali Thoroughbreds

Davali Thoroughbreds is a horse agistment and preparation operation situated on the banks of the Hunter River. Conveniently located two hours from Sydney, 40 minutes from Newcastle and 90 minutes from Scone, it serves owners and horses in the Hunter Valley region. Operated by Alison and David Hush, the business provides agistment for mares and foals, weanlings, yearlings and racehorses taking a spell. Its services also include sale preparation, foaling down and walk-ins to nearby Hunter Valley studs.

Davali’s facilities include a 15-box yearling barn with rubber floors, a rubber wash bay and an undercover round yard, as well as an eight-bay walker and an 11-box mare barn. A veterinary crush and multiple safe paddocks in various sizes, with ample shelter, support the care of horses on the property. The team’s approach centres on treating each horse as an individual and providing hands-on care, with the aim of achieving strong results in the sale ring and on the racetrack.
