DaveDoctorDing is an independent surfboard repair business based in Azur, in France’s Landes region. Run by Dave, a repair specialist with more than 25 years of hands-on experience, the business serves surfers along the Landes and Basque coasts, including Biarritz, Hossegor, Seignosse, and surrounding areas. Dave developed his skills repairing his own boards and later learning shaping, glassing, and sanding in California.

The workshop repairs polyester and epoxy boards, handling damage from small dents and cracks to broken boards, creased boards, fins, leash plugs, and FCS or Future fin plugs. Dave provides a diagnosis and estimate, with around 95% of repairs completed within 24 to 48 hours; timing depends on the board’s condition and required drying. Customers can drop off boards at the workshop, and pickup and delivery may be available within a 15-to-20-kilometre radius. A free courtesy board may also be available during repairs, subject to stock and suitable shapes.
