About David Eby
David Eby is the distinguished Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Vancouver-Point Grey and the 37th Premier of British Columbia, having first been elected in 2013. A dedicated public servant, he was re-elected in 2024 for a fourth term, continuing his commitment to the constituents of his district. Eby’s impressive career includes key roles such as Attorney General and Minister of Housing, showcasing his dedication to social justice and community welfare. Before entering politics, he excelled as the Executive Director of the BC Civil Liberties Association and taught law at the University of British Columbia.
Eby's advocacy for human rights has earned him accolades, including recognition from the UN Association in Canada. He has authored numerous publications, including a handbook on arrest rights that remains widely circulated. Outside of his political career, Eby enjoys skiing, biking, and attending basketball games with his family.
