David Gallegos Art

David Gallegos Art is the studio and online gallery of Hawaii-based artist David Maes Gallegos, whose work centers on distinctive oil paintings on wood. Combining oil paint with pyrography, Gallegos uses the natural surface and texture of wood to create detailed compositions with rich color and a strong sense of place. His works include scenes inspired by Hawaii, alongside botanicals and nature, landscapes, nautical subjects, urban settings, classic automobiles, cuisine, and empyrean themes.

The website presents paintings for purchase and invites customers to commission original work. Featured pieces are made on woods including koa and mango, with examples ranging from small still lifes to large-format sunset and ocean scenes. The online store organizes available artwork by collection and provides product details such as materials and dimensions. Gallegos’s artwork is also displayed in Hawaii galleries. Visitors can explore the gallery, learn about the artist, contact him about pricing and sales, or sign up for updates about upcoming shows and new releases.
