Drachenboot Club Eglisau (DBC Eglisau) is a Swiss paddling club based in Eglisau, on the Rhine. Founded in 1993, it has around 120 members and promotes dragon boat racing for both competition and recreation, welcoming people of all experience levels. The club offers opportunities to paddle dragon boats, single outrigger canoes and stand-up paddleboards, giving members a range of ways to enjoy the sport and develop their skills.
Teamwork, respect, inclusion and commitment are central to the club’s approach. Members train and represent DBC Eglisau at national and international regattas and championships, while the club also organizes Eglisau’s long-running dragon boat race. Its activities include training for adults and juniors, with a junior team established to encourage younger paddlers. DBC Eglisau is affiliated with the Swiss Dragon Boat Federation, which supports the development and visibility of the sport throughout Switzerland. Membership options include individual, family, junior and passive categories. Whether seeking competitive racing or a team-based recreational activity, paddlers can find a place to participate and build their abilities on the water.
