DBMail is a versatile suite of email services designed to optimize the management and delivery of emails, leveraging a robust relational database architecture. Established in 1999 by IC&S in the Netherlands and supported by XML Team Solutions LLC, DBMail focuses on efficient email caching, ensuring quick access to summary information and lists of emails instead of the emails themselves. This allows for streamlined interactions, particularly for IMAP users.
DBMail’s extensive features include header caching, which extracts and organizes crucial header information from incoming emails, and customizable filters using Sieve. It supports various database backends, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQLite, and Oracle, making it adaptable to diverse environments. Users benefit from enhanced management capabilities with support for shared mailboxes and efficient user handling.
With ongoing contributions from developers around the globe, DBMail continually evolves to meet the needs of modern email communication, making it a reliable choice for businesses and individuals alike. For more information, visit their GitHub page.
