Brand: SJB
SJB, also known as Samagi Jana Balawegaya, is a prominent political party in Sri Lanka with a focus on implementing the 13th Amendment (13A) to bring about positive change in the devolution of power. Led by Sajith Premadasa, the party aims to address the concerns of minority communities and ensure the full implementation of the 13A. With a commitment to resolving the national ethnic problem through devolution, SJB has garnered attention for its stance on supporting provincial councils (PCs).
The party's recent declarations in Jaffna have sparked discussions about the future of power-sharing in Sri Lanka, with a strong emphasis on democratic governance and equality. SJB's engagement with Tamil leaders and its willingness to navigate political controversies surrounding the 13A highlight its dedication to fostering peace and reconciliation in the country. As the presidential election approaches, SJB's position on devolution of power stands out as a key initiative in promoting inclusive governance and addressing misconceptions among Sinhalese society.
